Applicants should love what they do, be a great team player, and enjoy a small private practice with wonderful patients. - Perform dental hygiene procedures, including cleaning, scaling, and polishing teeth - Take digital dental radiographs - Identify and document oral cancer and other pathology - Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide personalized recommendations for at-home care - Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide as needed - Assist the dentist during procedures by handing instruments and maintaining a sterile field - Document patient treatment plans, progress notes, and medical histories using electronic dental records systems in Dentrix - Follow infection control protocols to maintain a safe and clean environment - Adhere to HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy Will compensate based upon experience - 2 years of experience as a dental hygienist preferred - Proficiency in medical coding and documentation related to dental procedures - Experience working with wide range of patients from pediatric to geriatric is a plus - Familiarity with electronic dental records systems (Dentrix) - Strong knowledge of infection control protocols and practices - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written - Ability to perform accurate patient assessments and develop appropriate treatment plans Please note that this job description is not exhaustive and additional duties may be assigned as needed.
